What’s in a name?
The original development was named Tom nan Clach, a name taken from the Ordinance Survey map, visible above. ‘Tom’ is a small peak or knoll and ‘nan’ in gaelic means ‘if’ which is clearly meaningless as part of a place name, but was somehow adopted by the cartographer of the day. This time around, we have rectified that mistake and have named the Extension project Tom na Clach.
